OUR STORY

The Indian Student Association of Leuven (ISAL), established in 1972, is one of the largest non-profit and culturally diverse associations at KU Leuven. ISAL offers its services to all students starting from prospective students of KU Leuven to Alumni. 

ISAL, representing the Indian culture and promoting unity among its members and the community as a whole, provides opportunities for members to share Indian culture through interaction with other student organizations in a continuing effort to positively influence perception and attitude of Indian culture, traditions, and history. Ever since its inception, ISAL has made students feel at home by actively organizing information sessions, cultural and recreational activities.

The wide array of work which is accomplished by ISAL includes:

• Indian Cultural Events

• Sports Events

• Indian Musical Events

• Movie Nights

• Trips within Europe

• Pick up and accommodation guidance for students

• Suggestions for Indian restaurants, grocery shops, travelling, etc.

Our organization is open to all Indian students and Indians in Belgium and even to foreigners interested in our activities and goals. With the help of generous Indian and foreign sponsors, continuing support from KU Leuven and guidance by its alumni, ISAL hopes to keep helping the Indian Student community during their journey at KU Leuven amidst a fun environment filled with cultural and recreational activities. We recognize that the strength of our organization lies with those who support our activities with their involvement.
